Johnnie Mae Scott, is a lifelong resident of New Jersey, and is now residing in West Orange, New Jersey with her husband Eugene Scott, and four children; a daughter that is attending De Paul University majoring in Education. Two of their four sons have graduated from Seton Hall University, with majors in Criminal Justice, and Psychology; and one

is currently attending Rutgers University Law School, and Essex County College respectivly. Their Oldest son resides in Ohio with his wife and four children.

Johnnie began singing in her father's church at age ten in solo, and choir performances, and has since performed at many churches upon request.

Today, Johnnie's compositions reflect the entire background of her life experiences. These experiences consist of blessings, spiritual trials, and challenges. Her thirst to please God according to His Holy Standards continually motivates her. The simplicity of her lyrics are a direct result of God's heart call to her, for Johnnie believes she is "called" by the Lord to serve Him through the ministry of her gift of song accompanied by music.
